2ozwhite oven-bake polymer clay(for 1.5-2 Christmas trees like the one seen on pictures)
1rolling pin
1pastry mat
2-4piecesof wood the hight you'll want your tags to be
1large cookie cutter in desired shape
1non-stick cookie sheet
1tooth pick
1permanent marker
1lettering stencil
Instructions
Preheat oven to temperature instructed on your clay's package (I preheated to 230 F/ 110 C).
Roll out clay on pastry mat by placing the wood pieces to left and right end of the rolling pin to make sure the clay is rolled out evenly.
Cut out figure and carefully remove from mat and place on non-stick cookie sheet.
With the toothpick make a little whole at the top making sure to make it big enough for a piece of baker's twine or thread to fit through.
Bake for as long as instructed on clay's package. As a rule of thumb it's 15 minutes per 1/4" (0.6cm) (I baked the Christmas Tree star ornaments which were double the thickness of the gift tags for 30 minutes and the gift tags for 20 minutes).
Remove cookie sheet from oven and let gift tag cool down completely on the cookie sheet without touching or moving.
Once cold to the touch, carefully remove from cookie sheet and write name or initial with or without lettering stencil.
